Our commitment to you

Being part of the Nova Education Trust family means that you play an important role in transformational education. In everything we do, whatever our role in our Trust and schools, we’re working to ensure that all children and young people in our schools and our wider communities have the best educational experiences to transform their lives.

Transformational education isn’t just for the children and young people that we serve: everyone in our Nova family is a learner who deserves and has access to the best opportunities to develop themselves, professionally and personally.

As part of our Trust, you have access to a range of Nova STEPs (Staff Training and Education Pathways), programmes and resources which support these. Your pathways will enable you to shape your development and be supported and challenged to have the greatest impact possible in your role and, ultimately, on the children and communities that we serve.

What will this look like?

We will be implementing our initial range of Nova STEPs over the next two years. However, you don’t need to wait for the programme or opportunity that will help you develop if we’ve identified this as a more timely part of your learning: we will look at requests for development opportunities not outlined in our Nova STEPs on a case-by-case basis. Please speak with your line leader in the first instance about this.

We will continue to develop, refresh, revise and refine our offer to you on an on-going basis. This initial range has been informed by current offers, the latest research, and feedback from staff at all levels of our Trust. Just as our educational offer in our schools is both proactive and responsive, so is our learning offer for our wider Nova family.

Your learning isn’t restricted by the pathways in our Nova STEPs: we’ll support you to take the best opportunities from across our whole offer to meet your learning and career needs, aspirations and development at the time that’s best for you.
