Sayed Yasmin Hussain

Yasmin is a seasoned legal professional having achieved significant milestones throughout her career which has culminated in her current position as Senior Legal Counsel at EQUANS UK. Here, she leads legal operations for the Sustainable FM Division (South), where she demonstrates her expertise in strategic decision-making and legal matters. Notable achievements include completing a multifaceted arrangement with a prestigious university in the UK, assisting with PFI disputes involving NHS Trusts, local authorities, lenders, construction contractors and completing several PFI projects valued over £1.2 billion within a short period. A key part of her role includes working with multi-academy trusts regarding their outsourced FM requirements within a PFI context.

In addition to her role, Yasmin is a member of the Executive Team for the Sustainable FM Division (South), where she works collaboratively with the senior leadership team on strategy, ethics, compliance, and key projects. Furthermore, she is a Trustee Director of a significant defined benefit pension scheme, requiring quarterly evaluations of investment strategies, underscoring her commitment to financial prudence and fiduciary responsibility.

Yasmin holds a law degree (LLB Hons) and a masters degree (MSc) in international relations and history. Throughout her journey, Yasmin has exhibited the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes, foster strategic partnerships, and deliver tangible results. Her expertise and leadership within diverse sectors have solidified her experience and led to some notable outcomes over her 15-year career.

Yasmin lives in Datchet Village, on the outskirts of Windsor, with her husband and extremely chatty cat Zelda. She enjoys reading, gardening and entertaining.
